One-Way Passenger Van Rental from Vancouver to Calgary
A Vancouver to Calgary van rental lets your group explore Western Canada without returning the vehicle to Vancouver. Executive Car Rentals offers one-way AWD passenger van rentals by prior arrangement, with an applicable one-way fee and vehicle availability confirmed in your quote.
Start with your dates, the number of people travelling and what they are bringing. Choosing between a 12-seat van and a larger 15-seat Heavy Duty van is about luggage as well as passenger numbers.
Vancouver Pickup and Calgary Return
Tell us where you would like to begin: YVR, your Vancouver hotel, our office or another agreed location. Complimentary shuttle service is available to and from YVR. Vehicle delivery and pickup within the Lower Mainland is complimentary for rentals of seven days or longer. Any different arrangement should be confirmed in your quote.
For a Calgary Airport return, send us your departure date and flight details so we can agree on a suitable handover location and time. One-way returns must be arranged before booking; they are not an automatic option on every rental.
Choosing Your Vancouver to Calgary Van Rental
| Vehicle | Seating | What to Consider |
|---|---|---|
| Regular-roof AWD Ford Transit | 12 seats including the driver; reduced-seat configurations available | Useful where parking clearance matters. Removing selected rear seating creates additional luggage space. |
| High-roof AWD Ford Transit | 12 seats including the driver | More interior headroom. Check parking height and luggage requirements with our team. |
| Long-wheelbase Heavy Duty AWD Ford Transit | 15 seats including the driver | High roof and a leather interior. Selected rear seats can be removed to create a substantial cargo area. |

Count the Driver and Plan for Every Bag
Eight clients plus their driver need nine seats. A 15-seat van with seven seats removed has eight seats remaining, so that configuration would not accommodate nine people. Our team will confirm a practical seating layout that keeps a seat and seat belt for every occupant.
Checked baggage allowances such as 23 kg describe weight, not suitcase size. Send us the number and approximate dimensions of your checked suitcases, backpacks and any bulky equipment. We can then assess seating, cargo space and loading requirements before you commit.
For your Vancouver to Calgary van rental, removing rear seating can create a very large luggage area, especially in the long-wheelbase Heavy Duty van. The space available depends on the configuration; a full passenger load does not guarantee room for everyone’s large suitcase.
Understand the One-Way Fee and Mileage
Your quote should set out the rental period, included kilometres, the charge per additional kilometre, the one-way fee, taxes and any selected protection. Share your proposed itinerary—including detours and sightseeing—so we can discuss a mileage allowance that suits the trip. Mileage terms vary by quote; do not assume unlimited kilometres.
Winter Equipment and Mountain Travel
Our AWD van rentals are equipped with dedicated winter tires for winter travel. Confirm the equipment on your reserved vehicle and check road conditions before each stage of the journey. AWD helps with acceleration traction; careful speed and extra stopping distance remain essential.
BC winter-equipment requirements apply on designated routes and vary by location and season. Review the Province of BC’s winter-driving guidance when planning your route.
What Insurance Is Included?
ECR rental quotes include Third Party Liability (TPL) coverage up to $10 million. This protects against covered claims for injury to other people or damage to their property when an authorized driver is legally responsible, subject to policy terms and applicable law. TPL does not cover damage to the rental van itself.
Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) and other protection options are separate. Ask us to explain your options and confirm the selected coverage, exclusions and deductible in your quote. Our rental FAQ has more information.
